Today follows one of the days that will be a highlight in my oldest son’s life. Yesterday, Levi’s baseball team won the Lewistown Cal Ripken Majors Tournament. He was so excited last night on the drive home I thought he was going to explode. He did finally drop off to sleep and I mean literally DROP! One minute he was chattering away and the next he was sound asleep, with big smile on his face! It’s just his first year in this division of baseball and he is on an exceptionally talented team. Tomorrow begins our local tournament and all the boys are very excited, hoping to walk away with another trophy this Saturday. They have a good chance as long as they keep working hard and don’t become over confident. And if that isn’t good enough, Levi was chosen to be on the 11 & under all-star team, so that adventure begins next week.
Jonah, my youngest son, also enjoys going down to the baseball fields but for a totally different reason…he loves to play in the big dirt pile they have there. Jonah packs along numerous grocery bags filled with plastic cars, metal trucks, and plenty of figures then proceeds to make roads, tunnels, and mud holes for all of them. It’s always a toss up as to which one comes home dirtier…Levi from playing ball or Jonah from playing dirt!
Well, speaking of ball fields, it’s time to get ready to head off to one. Have a great day!
