The Tournaments Are Over...Sad & Happy!

Our baseball season came to an end this past Saturday at the State 11 & Under All-Star Tournament in Belgrade. In “pool play” the boys lost one game and won one game; which along with their runs allowed score placed them as 6th seed (out of 9) for the tournament. Unfortunately that placed us playing a team from a much larger town, a team that ultimately ended up playing for the championship. The team did very well, especially in the first 4 innings, but in the end the larger team came out on top. Levi ended the tournament well with several great hits and he pitched for the first 2 ½ innings of the game (during which their team led!) He did a great job, as did all the boys, especially considering they were playing for 3 days in +97 degree weather. It was hot, hot , hot!!! We feel sad for the boys for losing out, but as a worn out Mom I can honestly say that I’m glad we’re done with baseball for the year…LOL! Now it's time to clean up the house after the past several weeks of running about to practices, games, & tournaments...UGH!
